We’re looking for a Data Scientist to join our team. This role will be responsible for analytics across our business, from metrics definition and data instrumentation design to ongoing reporting, investigation, and research. The Data Scientist is a key member of the tech team, reporting to our BI Product Manager. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for creating metrics to validate performance, proposing new algorithmic approaches to improve our business, and storytelling through data visualizations. You’re excited to solve data shalleges across both digital and physical products as well as across multiple business verticals.
Your tasks:
- Develop a deep understanding of our business and define how we measure success
- Build data delivery for the company, enabling our teams to have the right information to make critical decisions
- Run experiments and develop data visualizations to enable observability and communicate results to across the company
- Architect, build, test, document, and launch predictive models and new data applications
- Answer complex business questions and define new and existing metrics via SQL queries
Your Skills:
- A minimum of 4 years experience in a data science role
- Excellent in SQL and Python/R
- Strong data visualization skills and ability to present insights from analysis
- Experience with enterprise business intelligence tools, such as Sigma or Tableau
- Experience with hypothesis testing, experimental design, and a strong understanding of statistics
- Deep understanding of the first and second order effects of reporting — you know the power of presenting the right data to the right people at the right time
- Inherent curiosity and analytical follow-through — you can’t help but ask “why?” and love using data and logic to explore potential solutions
- Highly collaborative and able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- A team player who can easily adapt in a rapidly changing environment
